The Symphony Hall

The palace of classical music was born as the first special hall for classical music in Japan.

The Symphony Hall, located in the North District of Osaka City, was constructed in 1982 as the first special hall for classical music in Japan. The auditorium adopts amphitheatre style around the stage and is also equipped with the seats where you can see the conductor’s actions and carefully observe the pianist’s finger actions. For classical music, the echo of two seconds is the best environment. Herbert von Karajan, a conductor representing the 20th century, has praised this hall to have “the best sound quality in the world” and it’s loved by the artists and audiences all over the world as “the palace of classical music”.
