The photo contest has ended,

The Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau has launched a new photo contest featuring the Art of Osaka.

Lasting until February 28, anyone can contribute to Osaka art and tourism.

Submitted photos will be gathered to create a large mosaic to be put on display at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts.

In collaboration with the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts, the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau has launched the Art of Osaka Photo Contest, featuring 5 locations centered around the museum in the Tennoji Area and running from February 1 through 28!

Through this contest, we aim to encourage people of all ages, but especially younger age brackets, to discover the gems within Osaka by stepping foot in specific areas and photographing spots and subjects that feel artistic to them.

Photographs posted during the contest period will be gathered into a large mosaic piece, and the completed work will be displayed in a free, open area at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts. With this work, our goal is to encourage people of younger ages who have fewer opportunities to visit art museums to go and see the work that they contributed to.

We are striving to spark more passion for Osaka and to revitalize of Osaka's tourism, which has been heavily impacted by the pandemic, by encouraging people of all kinds to spread interest in Osaka within their own circles and via word of mouth.

Art of Osaka Photo Contest Details

Contest Period:

February 1- 28, 2022

How to Enter:

1. 1. Follow @art_of_osaka on Instagram.
2. 2. Ready a photograph taken at one of the below locations that you feel fulfills the theme of Art of Osaka.
3. 3. Tag the location and apply the hashtags #artofosaka and/or #ええやん大阪アート ("isn't Osaka art great?") and post the photo on Instagram!

Photo Locations:

1. Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts 2. Keitakuen Garden 3. Tenshiba Park
4. Shin-Imamiya (includes the Shin-sekai area) 5. Shitennoji Temple

Prizes:

All photos submitted will be used within the mosaic, but a prize and a grand prize will be selected. Prize winners will receive a hotel voucher valid at the W Osaka luxury hotel.
The grand prize winner, in addition to a W Hotel voucher, will also have their photograph selected as the theme for the mosaic. The completed mosaic will be put on display at a free and open area at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts.
