The Vision Zero Summit was first organized in 2019 and gathered Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) professionals from around the world to focus on different aspects of Vision Zero, a concept promoting safety, health, and well-being. Vision Zero Summit Japan 2022 will be the second time the event has been held, and is this year held online Wednesday May 11- Friday, May 13.

The event features prominent speakers such as WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus as well as Taiwan's Digital Minister Audrey Tang. The talks cover a wide range of topics critical to redefining safety, health and well-being for the New Normal amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The theme of the upcoming Expo 2025, "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," includes the concept of creating well-being for people through new technologies, a goal that aligns closely with those of the Vision Zero Summit. This is why the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition is an official supporter for the event. In addition to the regular proceedings, Yoshimasa Sakai, Director-General of Public Relations Strategy of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, will be giving a promotional talk on Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

The Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau is also an official supporter of the Vision Zero Summit.
