Events in a magnificent space: the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts has reopened!
Renovations have enhanced the grandeur of this iconic unique venue for meetings and events.
Located amidst the vibrant greenery of Tennoji Park, the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts is the third oldest art museum in Japan and is a nationally-registered cultural property. After extensive renovations, this historic landmark has reopened in March 2025 and is now available to use as a venue for meetings and events. The Central Hall, exchange space “Jiaorium", terrace, and the normally off-limits Special Room can all be used for meetings, receptions, and more. With prior consultation, catering can be arranged from the museum's café in certain areas.
The Central Hall, which has been renovated to further enhance its original design, is a majestic reception and event space that beautifully showcases musical performances, a rarity among such venues. Adjacent to the Central Hall, the Jiaorium (named after the stone Buddha statues from ancient China and Korea that are part of the museum's iconic collection) can be used as an event space for seminars, workshops, and more. It boasts high acoustic effects and its walls can be used as a full-surface screen.
The Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts is an iconic location in Osaka, and represents the best of unique and memorable venues for meetings and events. This historic landmark can make for a perfect venue in conjuction with an event for the 2025 World Expo.
