The Japan MICE EXPO, held at INTEX OSAKA, brings Japan’s top MICE brands to the worldwide stage in a large industry exhibition. Similar to last year, the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau's booth promoted Osaka as well as served to further familiarize industry professionals with their efforts. This year, over 2,800 people participated over the 2-day span, successfully bringing more spotlight and understanding to Japan’s MICE ecosystem.

On the morning of October 27th, Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau's Senior Executive Director Hirata attended the tape cutting ceremony. Later in the evening, the opening night networking party "Osaka Night" was held at Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay, and OCTB's President Mizohata gave his greeting as representative of the organizers.

For the first time, this year also introduced a pre-matched business meeting model. We were able to conduct one-on-one negotiations with 10 companies, both domestic and international, ranging from travel agencies and PCOs, to scientific conferences and more, resulting in multiple promising projects for Osaka.
