What is Time Out Market?
Time Out Market is the world's first editorially curated food and culture market. Born in 2014 from the renovation of a 150-year-old public market in Lisbon, Portugal, Time Out Market has since expanded to some of the world's leading gourmet cities, including New York, Chicago, Boston, Montreal, Dubai, Cape Town, Porto, and Barcelona, with 10 locations currently open. Time Out Market Osaka's philosophy is to "showcase the best of the city's food and culture" offering a place where visitors can enjoy local gourmet food at any time, along with cultural programs. To curate Time Out Market Osaka, the Time Out team creates a list that reflects the city's attractive cuisine and food culture, and selects the most exciting and noteworthy from among them. This process is not just about selecting famous restaurants, but also actively incorporating up-and-coming chefs and establishments loved by locals. By helping visitors become familiar with the city and work closely with local businesses and suppliers, Time Out Market aims to make a significant contribution to the local economy and provide new opportunities for local talent.
