The Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau provides a wide range of support for meeting and event planners who are considering Osaka as their next event destination. Osaka is bolstered by a support body made up of Osaka prefecture, the city of Osaka, and the local economic sector.

To further advance Osaka’s growth, the OSAKA International Convention Subsidy Executive Committee (comprised of Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce) has established a new subsidy program for international conferences. This grant aims to increase the number of international conferences within Osaka Prefecture, particularly in fields where Osaka has strengths in addition to those that encourage innovation and the enhancement of industrial competitiveness.

Hosting international conferences generates significant economic ripple effects, including increased business exchange, promotion of investment, and elevated levels tourism, while also contributing to the city’s global prestige. The OCTB commits to continue collaborating with all of Osaka to support organizers in leveraging this grant and promote hosting international conventions within the prefecture. Looking ahead to the future integrated resort (IR) in 2030 and building on the success of Expo 2025, we aim to elevate Osaka to the next stage by enhancing the city’s brand and achieving sustainable economic growth.
