As a First for Japan, Patina Osaka Claims Title of "World’s Best Hotel"!

Patina Osaka, a luxury hotel opened in May 2025, recently scored number 1 in the hotel category of renowned American travel magazine Travel + Leisure’s World's Best Awards 2026. This is notably the first time a Japanese hotel has received such an honor.

Patina Osaka is owned/developed by NTT Urban Development and operated by NTT Urban Development Hotel Management. All 221 guest rooms are spacious at over 50 square meters, and offer views of Osaka Castle Park and Naniwa Palace Site Park. Guests can leisurely enjoy unparalleled vistas of one of Osaka's most iconic structures, especially drinking in the splendor during peak seasons such as spring and fall.

The hotel is also amply equipped for MICE events. Its banquet hall, with 7-meter-high ceilings and abundant natural light, features an outdoor terrace and a spacious foyer. The chapel, which offers a direct view of Osaka Castle, can also be used as a venue.
